Never Mind

I had a problem last week with my P.C. It ended up ruining it, I narrowed the source to a list of what I thought were possible causes, I had a few questions and some theories...nothing concrete OF COURSE!... so I sought out the advice of "professionals" I thought a few might share their knowledge and experience and maybee help me understand what happend and why, so I could prevent it happening to anyone else. Instead I was vilified, insulted , patronized, etc.,etc., I'll just do what I should've done all along, figure it out FOR MYSELF ! It's nice to know the worlds full of such kind people...not! Sorry for the "trouble", don't worry, the world still turns, X-mas will still come, and the war goes on. Everyone feel free to UN-WAD their panties and enjoy life once more! Peace

Hmm, you have an interesting use if upper case letters. Bill? (only kidding ;)) No offence meant, but if you narrowed it down to those things as possible causes, then you need to refine your techniques. I could understand maybe making the incorrect asumptions about the InstallShield runtimes (despite the fact the files involved clearly stated they were not Microsoft's), but calling the systray and Windows Explorer viral - well that takes a really deep understanding of Windows. May I suggest you use Windows XP - it is much better suited to your expertise, and I really don't mean that in a patronising sense. And you state here that they are theories, and you state on your site that they are theories (in places), and yet you make concrete acusations (see me reply to your other thread below) with no indication of doubt. Your way of explaining yourself is typical of a thirteen year old, not a thirty six year old. Again, I'm not intending to patronise you, but you need some practice. sanitysux2000@yahoo.com wrote: so I sought out the advice of "professionals" I thought a few might share their knowledge and experience and maybee help me understand what happend and why, so I could prevent it happening to anyone else With all due respect, you received all of this, and without any consultation fee. Each of your "findings" was explained to you in laymans terms, and should have put your fears to rest. Instead you choose to ignore ALL of the information we gave our time to researching and constructing into a readable form, no respect whatsoever. Yes, I did spend significant billable time researching each of your noted points this afternoon. I crawled through newsgroups, searched tecnhical web sites, and even did a bit of file investigation myself, and formed it all into an easily readable and well structured reply. And yet you didn't respect my time and goodwill enough to even post a response. Obviously professional software developers are not professional enough to help you, an inexperienced Windows user at most. sanitysux2000@yahoo.com wrote: I'll just do what I should've done all along, figure it out FOR MYSELF ! I don't know if you'll believe me, but I AGREE with you. And feel that I owe you an apology, one I hope you'll accept. I let my frustration over this get the better of me, and I'm sorry. It should've been obvious to even the smallest of minds, that you spent a great deal of time and effort on this, when I'm sure that you had more enjoyable things to do. I hope there's no hard feelings, as much as it pains me to admit sometimes, I am only HUMAN :) Just one thing though, I'm NOT an inexperienced user. I've used Windows since 3.1 and have had more than my share of updateing, formatting, fdisking, installing, re- installing, etc.,etc.. This most recent problem however is much different. Stacy Johnson
