Crack the Karaoke Code

I've been trying to find a program to write Karaoke disks. It seems that no one has yet cracked the code for this! It's a Red Book format, but it uses empty spaces on the disk to store snippets of text and timing information. Has anybody here worked on duplicating the format with a standard CD-RW drive? I know Karaoke is tacky, but it's fun to watch their faces when I substitute new lyrics. It would be even better if they could all sing along:-)
