DotNetNuke Failure

I've just installed DotNetNuke, but when I try and access my portal from the link on the installation page, I get the following error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. [NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.] DotNetNuke.Entities.Portals.PortalSettings.GetPortalSettings(Int32 TabId, PortalAliasInfo objPortalAliasInfo) +130 DotNetNuke.Entities.Portals.PortalSettings..ctor(Int32 tabId, PortalAliasInfo objPortalAliasInfo) +90 DotNetNuke.HttpModules.UrlRewriteModule.OnBeginRequest(Object s, EventArgs e) +3604 System.Web.SyncEventExecutionStep.System.Web.HttpApplication.IExecutionStep.Execute() +109 System.Web.HttpApplication.ExecuteStep(IExecutionStep step, Boolean& completedSynchronously) +69 I probably will spend the hours required of free software tonight to get it working, but I thought I'd ask in the mean time anyway. Well it says the inside the GetPortalSettings it tried to use an object that hasn't been created yet I'm not an expert yet, but I play one at work. Yeah and here too.
Yes, I can see thank you. I'll go install the source and have a look at GetPortalSettings, as I said earlier, now that it is evening and I have finished work. The DJ's took pills to stay awakwe and play for seven days. - Jim Morrison, Black Polished Chrome.
