'Plan' to move jobs abroad denied[^] It's a sorry day when a government department makes plans to outsource. Note that although they strongly deny the story that means nothing. And if they do follow through and outsource and 'save' money you can bet it won't get passed back to joe public in lower taxes.

That is because there will be lower tax revenue coming in to the treasury as all those people whose jobs get transferred out of the UK will not be earning, and so will not be paying tax. So, at the Dunfermline and West Fife by-election you can probably tell I won't be voting for Brown & Co. I can see first hand the damage he's done as his consituency is next door to mine. If unemployment benefits, welfare, crime and other costs due to the laid-off workers plus the cost of the out-sourced workers is less than the salary and benefits of the laid-off workers, then joe public saves because taxes won't have to be increased for a while. At least, that's the theory.
