Did the cartoonist mean "literally" in its original sense or in its 21st century incarnation as a synonym of "figuratively"?

I can't speak for the cartoonist but in any sense it is still funny to me because the two characters are mocking the words of Tom Declare <in that particular context of Iraq still being in shambles>. Yes, that is the entire Islamic attitude in a nutshell. "When only the police have guns, it's called a Police State."

Perhaps it was some non Islamic dude taking the piss. If you think of it the hypocrisy of this picture has many parallels to the USA - Preaching peace, democracy and religion while waging war. Steve

Are not the images I linked to truth? or is that propaganda? I think is was more humor than propaganda. Actually, what he said was :- u just apply Bush's logic in his simple mind, "the friend of ur enemy is also ur enemy", so "the father of Bush's mother is also Bush's mother" So, by cutting out the first 1/2 of what he said (however incredibly stupid it sounds), you are misrepresenting what he said! Play fair - quote him fully! Say what? I saw a picture saying nothing of the sorts. Where do you people get this stuff? The post said nothing about Bush, so why even take a poke at him unless it just makes you feel better to lash out? Really, this is retarded.
