If someone makes fun of someone else because of his/her appartenance to a group, I think this may be considered as racist.

So saying "you are stupid because you are american" would not be racist if I also say to a german "you are stupid because you are german" and to a chinese "you are stupid because you are chinese"? :~

I'm simply intolerant of stupidity, absurdity, religious zealotry of any degree, politicians with no sense of why they're in office, monopolistic corporations, IP holding companies of any description, and probably a lot more things that I haven't listed. Now, if that means there is a certain racial proclivity associated with any of those things, how am I to blame for that? What I've found is that the people most willing to shout the word "racist" are those who are most likely to be one themselves. So, read a dictionary to find out what "racist" means, and get off my fukin back. Afterall, I have a number of Canadian and German friends, and I make fun of everyone, not just the camel jockeys... ------- sig starts "I've heard some drivers saying, 'We're going too fast here...'. John tries to justify his intolerance for everything and everyone not worthy by his "standards". Thus the opinion that others have of him is quite on par with the one he has of himself..

If you had used a derogatory (sp?) term for Canadians (is there one?) and Nazi for Germans while using camel jockeys for Arabs (I presume), then it would have been more truthful. :rose: for peace.

I've made fun of and/or ridiculed americans, indians, paskistanis, iranians, venezuelans, iraqis, egyptians, arabians, africans, german, australians, norwegians, danish, canadians, mexicans, spanish, chinese, russians, english, french, rednecks, yankees, cowboys, politicians, lawyers, muslamics, catholics, jews, protestants, mormons, gays, straights, transexuals, whites, blacks, browns, olives, apples, carrots, potatoes, spam, cows, ducks, geese, cardinals, Windows, Linux, Macs, OS/2, C++, C#, Pascal, all of the basic food groups (including liquid paper), and lions and tigers and bears (oh my!). At the same time, I honestly can't recall saying anything about anybody because they were any of any of those things (well, except maybe Windows). I have fun at everyone's expense, and if someone is acting like a retard, I'll ridicule them for it - regardless of their race. EDIT #2: I also claim the right to make fun of any aspect of said retard that I feel might garner the most laughs from people with less/no humor-blocking stick shoved up their ass. Hell, I'm not even a bigot, even in the broadest of terms. In short - If you're stupid, it's not necessarily because you are from a certain country or race, and there's nothing I can do about it beyond pointing it out. EDIT #1: Maybe I should put this in my bio... I typically don't edit once voting has started, so I thought I'd mention that the 2nd edit occurred AFTER the first two 5 votes. ------- sig starts "I've heard some drivers saying, 'We're going too fast here...'. If after all that you still say you're not racist, then the only thing left to describe you as is exhausted. :) I know I am from reading all that, let alone being that. :) "If only one person knows the truth, it is still the truth." - Mahatma Gandhi Web - Blog - RSS - Math

It's probably a national Canadian game plan. By giving the idea that Canuck is insulting, the rest of the world won't bother inventing something more derogatory. Pretty neat idea, if so :-D Regards, Nish

I didn't know that about eastern Indian, but I thought it was commonly accepted that the North of India was populated by the same 'indo-europeans' peoples that also migrated into Europe at about the same time. "You get that which you tolerate"
