I am developing a web site and I have some doubts regarding the same.... Please help me in this regard I am developing it in ASP, MS Access. 1)I know one web-hosting site namely 'serversea.com'. Is this company a genuine one? is there any other web-hosting sites?....I found low cost in case of 'serversea.com'. It is $2/month($24/month).... 2) Generally what are the charges we have to pay for hosting web-site? 3) I am working in an organisation. So will there be any legal issues if the web site is registored on my name? 4) If we registor web-site on my parents name, then does the owernship remains to me or what? So please give some detial explanation Regards, Amol

Amol, 1) Regarding serversea, check out http://uptime.netcraft.com/ and VisualRoute servers for uptime and performance checks. 2) Website involves two costs -- domain name and hosting costs. 1. I'm using www.brinkster.com and they have been pretty good. 2) They charge from around $5: but you usually get what you pay for. 3) You need to ask: if the domain name is private to you then register it that way; if it is a company domain name then you should regsiter it in their name. 4) I would register the domain with, for instance, Network Solutions so that you isolate the domain name from the webhost. This is in case the web host disappears or you want to move webhost in a hurry. You just point the name server at the new host and off you go. Whatever name you use to register the domain it will, for all intents and purposes, belong to that person or company. www.merrens.com
