Hi, i have a page from where user can upload a file and then from the other link he can view that file now problem is if user want to modify that uploaded file he has to download the file and after updating that file again upload file...so this is a bit cumbersome way for naive user. so is there any way so that u can modify and save the file means no need to upload that modified file on my server. Thanks in advance. Sushant Mathur Bangalore, INDIA. http://n.domaindlx.com/fun2ssh/HOME.htm

Sushant, To an extent it is achievable. If the uploaded file is a Text/RTF/HTML, you can show it up in a textarea and then manage the edited file. But if the file is a binary content like GIF or JPG then there is no way other than downloading it, modify locally and reupload. With Microsoft Office documents (like Word etc), we can allow a limited edits but you would involve a lot of code and licensing issues.
