Re installing Messenger service on WinXP SP2

Hello, I accidently uninstalled the messeger service on my system (sc delete Messenger). How do i reinstall it. Please direct me to the appropriate discussion room (that is if i am not in the right room). Thanks a bunch.

Why do you want to????? As far as I can tell, the only purpose of the messenger service is to allow people pop up with messages on your system, telling you that for a "low low fee", you can buy "software" to "remove these annoying messages FOREVER" Personally, I always disable it as a first "post-reinstall" task - can anyone shed any light on any legitimate uses for it?
