    when a file is created, all information (file name, creation date, size etc) are stored anywhere. so keeping these points in mind, how these information can be accessed. these information is also called signature of a file. muhammad mahmood ilyas

      Use:

      FileInfo fi = new FileInfo(@"c:\test.xml");
