I've been seeing this one problem for the last week and a half. When I go to the forums, I start in the VC one, browse through the first couple of pages for a few minutes, maybe switch to the General forum, and so on. All of a sudden, after switching pages or forums, everything is marked as read. Win2K SP2, IE 6 with all the latest hotfixes for both. --Mike-- Rollin' in my 5.0 With the rag-top down so my hair can blow. My really out-of-date homepage Sonork - 100.10414 AcidHelm Big fan of Alyson Hannigan and Jamie Salé.

This can happen if the webserver is restarted (thus killing your session, and hence 'last login time' info) Last week things were getting restarted fairly often because of updates and becuase of high load due to people using site downloaders. cheers, Chris Maunder

Ah, so it's your fault! J/K! :) Would it help to check the HTTP referrer and reject download attempts where the referrer isn't codeproject.com? --Mike-- Rollin' in my 5.0 With the rag-top down so my hair can blow. I've sometimes had the exact reverse problem when 100s of messages are shown as new messages. I log out and log in to solve that problem. Nish Bow wow wow, Yippee yo yippee yay, My miniputt high, Is now 30 yay.
