    They put something in their updates which will prevent pirated windows from running. If you update pirated windows it will shutdown permanently. If you dont update your machine will get AIDS. Why did they take so long to do this? Is it because till now their updates were junk and not worth downloading and/or pirates did not have internet connection to download updates?

      they were waiting for everyone to get hooked to windows. like drug addicts getting free samples. now they will milk the cow.

                Microsoft OSes and Office suites are priced too high for the average Indian home owner. Outside of corporate use, I'd suggest that you try out some Linux distro or FreeBSD. Regards, Nish
