It is not easy to predict his mood, but forcing the image to be downloaded with each page view was, imo, taking it too far. Chris spends all his time trying to make CP as fast and streamlined for us modem users, and then finds fourty 1,000kb+ images being downloaded each time... I don't think finding it offensive is a problem, but a problem it is.
