Wanted: April Fools Easter Eggs
-
Well, they're so conveniently adjacent this year, it seems appropriate to do something in celebration of them both. And i'm pathetically bored. Anyways, i'm looking for easter egg ideas. To be appropriate April Fools gags, these eggs need to be harmful or annoying to the user in some unexpected way. My ideas so far:
- GPF toolbar button: This will appear suddenly, clearly marked, next to often used buttons. When pressed, the application GPFs
.2. Randomize toolbars: Buttons re-arrange themselves at regular intervals - Moving buttons: This is a classic; buttons move aside when user tries to press them.
- Translated text: Convert all menu text, messages, etc. to jive, etc.
alright, so i'm not very creative. :-O Any suggestions?_**
Sometimes i only remember, The days when i was young
Nowadays no one remembers when they were young and stupid...**_

Doesn't WindowsXP already do these things as a "feature" enhancement?

cheap shot ;P Actually, this sort of thing did seem somewhat common under Win9x (at least in my experience), as resource leaks and memory corruption would often leave explorer unable to load correct resources. 4x versions of IE and Netscape seemed to be the worst culprits IMHO._**
