    The discussion on "Whats the big deal with Java" threw up some interesting issues which I feel merit a separate thread. Companies want to use new technologies for the sake of using them. They dont bother to analyse whether the requirements warrant complex technologies. In my opinion, use of these technologies where they are not needed ultimately leads to higher than necessary costs, including those for maintenance.
