The space Bug!

"Provider=SQLOLEDB;Data Source=Your_Server_Name;Initial Catalog= Your_Database_Name;UserId=Your_Username; Password=Your_Password;"
UserID User ID It was invisible till I usedIntegrated Security=SSPI
since it used the NTLogin account. But If I use the UserName-password, it threw an undefined db error. Now I just had the big sigh of relief :)

Don't you just hate invisible spaces. Years ago when working on green screens, our development group got a tech request, if we could make the space characters blink on the screen. We got a few laughs over that one. :)

Similarly... Back in the late 80s I was working at a college and noticed a student having trouble with a COBOL program. There was a string value that was causing trouble, it seemed that it was not the expected length, but looked fine in the editor (on a VT101)... I finally tracked down the problem, there was a TAB rather than the appropriate number of SPACEs.
