Christian Graus wrote: 'only idiots would think putting guns into society does not result in people getting shot' Taking guns away from law-abiding citizens wouldn't stop gun related crimes, its all to easy to enter the US illegally and sneaking guns in would be no problem, just look at drug trafficking; as soon as it becomes illegal to own a gun the druglords would begin trafficking guns as well (if they don't already). I don't own a gun personally, I have no need to. I live in town and I have no fear of crime, I don't hunt nor do I recreational shoot. But I'll not stand for anything which takes away one liberty only to give a false sense of security. Don't bother bringing in statistics, for every statistic that claims one thing there is another that claims the opposite. "crack" is also another word for "the crater where the winds of the devil blows" or "the brown dot". Jan "It could have been worse, it could have been ME!"

I laughed my ass off. Then I took a shower. For the whole 10 minutes I was in there, I was still snickering. During class, an occasional giggle would surface from somewhere within. And now that I am at work, the image of your fat ex-wife rolling around in flour keeps popping into my head. Oh man, you made my day. That is one of the funniest things I have read in a long time. :) Jon Sagara There is no spoon. Best Miniputt score: 21

Like I said to the other guy, this is a religious issue to Americans, and hardly one likely to be discussed rationally. It's also an issue I cannot take with cold logic, I have children and I feel strongly about their NOT living in a country where school shootings are common ( as opposed to never occuring once in Australia ). I'm sorry I brought up a religious difference between us. Let's leave it at that. Christian The tragedy of cyberspace - that so much can travel so far, and yet mean so little. Actually I believe if you are going to have guns in your society, schools should teach gun safety to "all" students from a young age. And let them pop of a few rounds to see the damage they can inflict. I know it should be a parents responsibility but some parents are darn lax. Regardz Colin J Davies

Sounds good, but they'd have to rig it up so that nothing could get in the way, maybe in an enclosed area with the gun mounted stationary so it can't be aimed elsewhere; otherwise you have 'accidents' :( Maybe even have a member from the state police there holding the weapon as well.
