Hello ! Everyone has seen the Vista Explorer by now. It's new, it's shiny, it's beautiful. It's also very complicated to program, hence my post right here.. Menu bar and status bar are hidden by default, with menu bar replaced by the apparently context-sensitive "actions" pane and the status bar replaced by the metadata/details pane. Toolbar was ditched altogether, it seems. There's a links section, a navigation window and a preview window. On the top, an address bar and the forward & back buttons, with the "Live Search" box as an added cream on top. My current, most pressing problem is that durned context-sensitive bar. How do you access it, programmatically, from a Shell Namespace Extension ? My current guess is that it has something to do with the "Tasks Band" of Windows XP, since it works in a similar fashion, but I cannot put my thumb on this one. Any and all comments regarding this matter are welcome. If you happen to know an article (KB, TechNet, CodeProject, anything) that discusses the different elements of the Vista Explorer and how to access them, from code, then I would be very grateful if you'd point it out for me. - Antti Keskinen
