office 2007 problem

Has anyone hear of this issue? I just down loaded and installed my office 2007 from msdn. After installing it the mouse will not select text in word. It will select text in every other program. I have try changing mice; drivers; uninstalling/reinstalling; blowing office out of the registry; new video drivers, and google to no avail. X|
