Problems with top nav bar and IE 5

I seem to be experiencing some kind of strange happening where I scroll back up to the top of the main page and when the nav bar is about to display (next scroll up) my machine hangs. I have had this happen before with graphics that overlap and IE getting confused about how to draw them. It is a pretty serious lockup of my machine requiring a manual reset. Running IE5 5.00.2314.1003IC and NT 4.00 build 1381. This has only started happening with the site since the graphical nav bar has been put in (I think - unless I was ignoring it before). Regards Gary
