It fit very nicely into the main stream media's on-going attempts to thwart the US war against terrorism. What would you expect from the left-leaning media? Can you imagine what would have happened during WWII or even the Korean War if the media's constant harping on the day's body count of US soldiers were allowed. Most people in the world would now be speaking German or Japanese. Can you see the daily headlines --- 1600 US Marines die on Guadalcanal, 4900 Marines on Iwo Jima, 1750 on Guam, 3500 US soldiers during Operation Market Garden, 17000 casualties during the Battle of the Bulge (4000 KIA), and so on. But that 's what the MSM (Main Stream Media) bombards the citizens with every night during dinner (be that it may only be a 'few' US soldiers KIA at a time)! Bon apetit!
