    Hi all, I need some ideas to use optical sensors of any type to find the speed and direction of motion of a motor. The shaft of the motor is fitted with a disk as shown below. Any sections may be filled with white and/or black colors to note the transition. (x) Waiting for your creative ideas;)

          Thanks for the site but the circle that I want to make the design for is divided into 4 sectors only.
