Is there something called "Super Meta" ?
-
My manager asked me "Can we put the web site keywords in the "Super Meta" tags" ? I did not know how to answer, because i did not hear about something called "Super Meta" tags? Do anyone know about it ??
Well, as you probably know, meta tags are used to simulate headers and otherwise provide auxiliary information about a page. One type of meta tag, the keywords tag, looks like this:
<meta name="keywords" content="bacon, eggs, spam, spam, spam, spam">
search engines once used these keywords in categorizing pages, but their use by spammers and SEOs quickly made them nearly useless - today's search engines put little or no value on their content, and may ignore them entirely. This is where Super meta tags come in. Unlike ordinary Meta tags, Super meta tags go in the body of the HTML document, and look like this:
<h1 class="supermeta">Bacon! Eggs! Useful information regarding weightloss pills!</h1>
Obviously, this has a lot more "punch" to it than boring old meta tags, due largely to the use of exclamation points between keywords...

Yes, but can you blame them for doing so if that's the only legal way they can hire programmers they want at the rate they can afford?

Hello All , I red all Google books and i am working in search engines optimization since 3 years, i never heard about the Super meta tags. The super meta tags depends on what you fill the content of these tags, you can make your meta tags super by filling them in the right way with the right contents, there is nothing called Super Meta Tags in search engines. what you put here is one of the Google weighting factors, Google gives the text in the bold (headers) more weight than the other normal text. finally ... meta tags should not be visible to the user, it is just for the crawler and what you put here is visible.
I hope that i am helping programmers

I don't think there is anything like Super Meta. Your manager would have actually emphasized the META tag and given SUPER as an adjective to it. :) Your best bet to optimize using META tag is a few SEO (Search Engine Optimization) websites.
