Just wanted to recommend Grass as a thoroughly brilliant book. It starts out strangely and not in a typical sci-fi way, but then the threads start to come together and it really gets interesting. It offers some very thought provoking views of humanity, religion and the Church. With themes on original sin and the "position" of other intelligent creatures in our belief systems. There are no perfect heros or rather heroines*, thankfully, and no cardboard cutout characters. It is not a "nice" book, you don't feel good or happy from reading it, for it is very real, very truthful. At times I heard my self thinking "no, don't go there, stay in the comfort zone, I don't want to know that, please..." only to be thrown headlong out of the comfort zone, into something harsh and all to close to home. Prepare to find yourself at 4am in bed still reading this one. :) * The main character is a women, very real through her beauty and faults regards, Paul Watson Bluegrass Cape Town, South Africa The greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love, and to be loved in return - Moulin Rouge Tim Smith wrote: Over here in the third world of humor (a.k.a. Dammit. And here I was hoping for a good read about illicit drugs. :) Looks good Paul. Lots of interesting reviews on Amazon too.

      Tupperware. Great isn't it?
