    Hi, I have a form which is MdiContainer. But I want to write in a database all the controls from this form and I see all the controls but if a control is System.Windows.Forms.MdiClient I can't see the name of this control. please help. thanks.

      I don't know why but this seems to be correct possible work around: give the name of the form in in the tag property and then access the tag property to know the name of the form

        That's because it doesn't have one. You can assign one if you want, not that it'll do you any good. Since an MdiParent form can have one, and only one, MdiClient control on it.

          do you mean all the 'controls' of the mdicontainer or all the 'forms' of the mdicontainer that are open (I can't imagane you mean controls because if you use controls in a mdicontainer they will always be ontop (even on top of any form that you put in it)). if you mean forms like I think you do use the work around since you can't access the name if its in the container
