few weeks back an Indian Minister was in USA to bring in more investment for India. In part of his speech he said, "In India, if you want to buy a Rolex watch you get a Rolex watch and not a fake one, for that you will have to go to our neighbouring contries" probably pointing to bangkok. today in the news channel exposed a mafia that duplicates popular chough syrups from pfizer and other medicines, they are so perfect in their efforts that they even duplicate a hologram sticker that pfizer claims cannot be duplicated. recently china executed a minister for taking bribes and allowing substandard medicines to be put into the market, I don't think India will do that, coz we are a "democracy". Whats the fucking use of democracy when the gov can not protect its citizens from these people (well they acted now coz it was the TV channel who exposed these things that had been going on right under local authorities nose) But I am proud of my country coz Taj Mahal is in the new seven wonders list. (there is no news link till now coz the its just out)

I saw this on the news, arent they going to be put to death?

Truth is the subjection of reality to an individuals perception

But how long would it to take for him to take advantage of the prevailing bureocratic red tape procedures to elevate his skillset to counterfiet and duplicate more significant life-saving drugs making others cough money to him and succumb to thier illness.

It is the hienous crime and a hilarious comedy on part of our administration to be a mute spectator of this melodrama.

As a kidney transplant patient in the uk one of the drugs I take to keep me alive is a cholesterol controlling drug called lipitor. Well it was until it hit the news that the fakes of the drug are being made and passed into the system somehow. I take a replacement drug now as the doctors cannot risk me getting the wrong stuff. Still as they say it's nothing personal just business.

I am sorry to hear that, I always thought that medicines are the last thing on earth to be faked coz no gov will allow it to happen, but i think in this world of crooks and assholes anything is possible. :sigh:
