And how much "loyalty" do you think you are going to see in POLITICS? All these assholes want is to get re-elected, no matter the cause or the price. Do you remember Hubert Humprhey (Vice President under Johnson) disavaowing the Vietnam War so he could run for President? There's some 'loyalty' for you. And what about our Congress. Congress' approval ratings are so low as to be almost meaningless. So many of them wanted to include 20 million illegal aliens into the fold so they would have a new bloc of voters that would be beholden to them. Plus the money the lobbyists paid these scumbags (like the chicken producers, large farm conglomerates, etc). If what we read about Al-Quaida now infiltrating from Mexico is true and they kill more Americans, we should all march on Washington and hold tribunals for each of our elected officials and then hang them from the Washington Monument as examples. We really need to start all over with Congress' members, all 565 of them!

Ideally, none. The only people to whom politicians SHOULD be beholden is to their constituents. Believe it or not, the backstabbing of one's party to get re-elected is a good thing. It means that when push comes to shove, when you know your constituents won't reelect you because you're not representing their interests, you change your position to reflect what they actually want. That's a good thing.

Luckily, they're all up for re-election next year. :D Woohoo!
