What are the requirements for an application to show up in the Sound Mixer window so that I can adjust its volume level? My Sound Mixer window shows Google Desktop and Windows Media Player, but it doesn't show AOL Instant Messenger, which sure as hell plays sounds. If anyone knows the scoop on this, I would really appreciate some pointers.
