No... the company he works for is a news organization. Supposedly journalists work there. Niether Rush Limbaugh or Ann Coulter work for Fox, they are political commentators at best....

I see. Some sales guy charges the wrong fee for an ad and this is a terrible indictment on journalism at the NY Times. Get real. I didn't notice anyone claiming that Limbaugh and Coulter work for Fox News. Apparently, however, those two can make misstatements of fact with impunity. Only journalists are expected to tell the truth.

    Doug Goulden wrote:

Well? Name one...... come on, maybe some falsified records, some blatent falsehood?

So some sales guy screws up and the moral equivalence of this is for Fox News to have falsified records or engaged in blatant falsehoods? Fox News lies on an almost daily basis. If you want big lies, review their coverage of the Iraq war, starting with the lead-up to it. See here, for example: http://dir.salon.com/story/news/feature/2004/03/30/fox_news/index.html[^] If you want smaller lies, look at almost any episode of Bill O'Reilly's show, e.g., his claims that Daily Kos is a hate site akin to those run by Nazis and white supremacists. (His idea of "fair and balanced" was to admit that there was a similar site on the political right --- the one run by Fred Phelps. What a joke.) The fact that you are unaware that Fox News lies on an almost daily basis brought to mind McEnroe's famous cry at umpires: "You can't be serious." Sadly, you apparently are, which makes it clear that mere evidence will leave you unmoved. However, in the unlikely event that you are interested in more examples, I am sure you know how to Google.

    So where's the lie?

you forget that John-boy has difficulty distinguishing between facts and his own opinions.

Mike The NYT - my leftist brochure. Calling an illegal alien an “undocumented immigrant” is like calling a drug dealer an “unlicensed pharmacist”. God doesn't believe in atheists, therefore they don't exist.

After two weeks of denials, the New York Times acknowledged that it should not have given a
discount to MoveOn.org for a full-page advertisement assailing Gen. David H. Petraeus.

The liberal advocacy group should have paid $142,000 for the ad calling the U.S. commander in
Iraq "General Betray Us," not $65,000, the paper's public editor wrote yesterday.
        ...
The Times also violated its own advertising policy, which bars "attacks of a personal nature,"
Hoyt reported. He wrote that the episode "gave fresh ammunition to a cottage industry that loves
to bash The Times as a bastion of the 'liberal media.' "

So now the NY Times is offering special discounts for anti-American, leftist, personal attack ads. The media, however, is completely and totally impartial. I like how they waited until Ahmadinejad was up on stage before admitting this little ditty.

"Many Republicans have seemed to prefer talking about MoveOn's ad rather than the war itself." Poor, poor Republicans! Your wittle sensibilities have been wounded by the big, bad, mean-old New York Times! Are you guys going to be OK or would you like to cry about it some more?

So you listen to Rush Limbaugh? I assume you have since you're familiar with his "garbage", right? Oh wait, you live in Brazil, so you don't. I guess you heard about him on a blog or something.

horseshit. anyone with something left over after a lobotomy understands the NYT doesn't produce news reports, it produces pure and unadulterated propaganda. I had the enduring pleasure of canceling a subscription and take great delight in watching their profits and stck value tank.

a sterling display of ignorance. Rush is an unabashed pundit for conservatism, he's not supposed to be impartial.

"Take that, New York Times! HAHA, I have cancelled my subscription! That will teach you!" I can almost imagine how sad your life would have to be to take pleasure in cancelling a newspaper subscription, but I have just never been that lonely, so I'll have to take your word for it.

There stock is down 60% since the year 2000 and they have PE ratio of negative 5.6 with both declining ad revenue and reach. By contrast, the Wahington Post (owned in part by Warren Buffet) is up 40% in the same time period and has positive earnings with a PE ratio of 25. You should put your money where your mouth is and invest in the NYT!
