Memory leaks suck. But resource leaks suck even worse. Forget to close a handle here and there, and after your program runs a while, you're toast! Even if you win the rat race, you're still a rat.

Why? They keep demand for memory high and so keep the prices low. It's just this stupid "robust software movement" that gave us this friggin' increase of bucks per byte.
