IMHO the forums aren't dying, they're collapsing under their own weight. The site has become immensely popular, however that means that I no longer have the inclination to go through the forums and answer questions, something I used to do all the time. I don't even bother reading past page 2 of the Lounge anymore, because anything I post after page 2 won't be seen by most people anyway. With a lot of people jumping on .NET, the quality of normal C++ and especially MFC articles has dropped off, so there are rarely any articles that grab my attention as a must-read anymore. I think the C++ forum desperately needs to be subdivided, although I fear that would just lead to newbies cross-posting to 3 or 4 of them saying "well I don't know where this fits exactly...". *shrug* --Mike-- Just released - RightClick-Encrypt - Adds fast & easy file encryption to Explorer My really out-of-date homepage Sonork-100.19012 Acid_Helm
