Nice option, I think that the leading thread is hard to find in the mass; it should have a blue background.
This is just an experiment at the moment. I might make a hybrid version for the 'thread view' option to see if that's more useable. cheers, Chris Maunder Rub your belly and pat your head simultaneously. Sometimes that helps me make sense of things - Jon Sagara

Too bad sub editors don't get that. I think you guys need to file an anti-discriminatory suit. I have never wasted time worrying about such insignificant things. Keep your eye upon the donut and NOT upon the hole. - Bill Sergio about posting in the right forum. The Lounge - June 23, 2002

Chris Maunder wrote: I might make a hybrid version for the 'thread view' option to see if that's more useable. I would like to see the thread view load the first post of each thread when it originally loads. That way a click on the thread will show the contents of the first post (the same way a click in DHTML view does), and then we could decide if we want to spend the time to download the whole thread. This is especially true for those of us with slow connections, who when we connect find up to a 1000 unread posts in the lounge, and not all the titles are very desciptive of what the thread is about. I just find it a pain to spend the time downloading the entire thread only to find the topic uninteresting, or skipping over what turned out to an interesting thread because the caption seemed uninteresting. I hope that made sense:~ --- CPUA 0x5041 Sonork 100.11743 Chicken Little Within you lies the power for good - Use it!

Nice option, I think that the leading thread is hard to find in the mass; it should have a blue background.
Why is feature supporters only? Best regards, Alexandru Savescu

Well, you always know you can do a , right? That's a non-breaking space.

Well, if you're using blue hyphen-minuses (that's their real name, believe it or not) to space out your text, non-breaking spaces work just as well.

Oh! I see what you mean. But the reason i'm using '-' is to clearly separate the sig on the email notifications. When displayed as HTML, it's fairly obvious it's a sig, so the hyphens are unnecessary. I suppose i could just make the whole thing blue though, so if this new expanded view becomes popular i might just do that. --------
