I think my moniter is either dying or I've burned the yellow and orange of codeproject into it. Everything that should be or used to be white now has a creamy yellow/orange tint to it. Looks like I'll be forced to buy a new one in a couple of months. :((

Mine has started doing exactly that (i.e. the same tints). They fade quickly after startup, maybe taking about half an hour at most, and after that the monitor is fine until it has been without power for a good few hours. I had put it down to the fact it will be having it's seventh - yes seventh - birthday in August! ____________________ David Wulff "You don't go to the kitchen to take a piss - if you do, don't expect to be served." - peterchen on Bill SerGio. I've only had my moniter for a year:omg:, but then I have to remember it is an HP moniter. By the way, at which resolution do most of you run at? I'm running mine at 1152x864. In my opinion if I lower my resolution anymore everything in VS.NET is all packed together and if I higher my resolution all the text in windows gets small and blurry I then am forced to lower my refresh rate becuase my moniter doesnt support it at high rates and resolution.

I have yet to have, or hear of, a problem with a Hansol monitor. I've seen people replace theirs three times while I can spend my money on better things (I'll leave you to guess what they would be ;)) brian1415 wrote: which resolution do most of you run at I run at 1024 x 768 at home, unless I am using an app that works better in a higher resolution. brian1415 wrote: f I lower my resolution anymore everything in VS.NET is all packed together Use the auto-hiding windows fool! ;P ____________________ David Wulff "You don't go to the kitchen to take a piss - if you do, don't expect to be served." - peterchen on Bill SerGio. Mine goes purple sometimes, but that's due to the lines being damaged in the cable near the plug - giving the cable a shake usually makes it go back to a normal colour again. Considering it's a 5 year old 15" monitor, that I've been planning to replace for at least 2 years, it's not doing too badly, I suppose -- Help me! I'm turning into a grapefruit!

Just another facet of the CodeProject Plan for World Domination. We figure we'll start small and work out way up. cheers, Chris Maunder Rub your belly and pat your head simultaneously. Sometimes that helps me make sense of things - Jon Sagara

check the colour balance, my monitor comes with two presets. one of them makes white things appear with a reddy orangy tint.
