Hey folks, A friend of mine has a problem with his computer, whereby he uninstalled a piece of CD writing software that came with a DVD writer (the Pioneer AO3) and since then his CD ROM drives have disappeared. He is running Windows 2000. I once had this problem after uninstalling Easy CD Creator 4, and ended up reinstalling. I just wondered if anyone has any experience with this, and if so, any ideas on how to correct it without reformatting? Thanks! -- Andrew.

Okay, it seems this is a fairly common problem that people have been facing, but the solution has been elusive other than reformatting - until now! Thanks to a reply from 'wkulecz' to a post by my friend in the M.U.R.C. forums, we have found the solution, but I've lost the address :(. Anyway, it worked, and it can be found in the knowledgebase. Hope that's helpful, I know I faced the same problem in the past and ended up reformatting as a result, but my friend had a complex video editing setup and so this would've been a nightmare, but thankfully was unnecessary. -- Andrew.
