I'm developing something for our summer swim team and trying to figure out the best approach to calculate the improvement between two timed events. For example if a swimmer took 0:48.7 seconds to swim an event then next week they did it in 0:46.9 then what method would I use to calculate the improvement. The same would go on longer events where the first time would be like 1:19.8 versus 1:16.2. Thanks
