OK, my first Rant on Code Project I absolutely love Copernic Desktop Search. We don't have a standard search system where I work. The built-in XP search is terrible and I didn't care for Google's for various reasons. After several suggestions from other CP users I tried Copernic. Boy have I been in search heaven ever since. I've been using it for about 6 months. Now, they want me to upgrade to the Corporate Edition, saying that because I use it at a commercial institution I am violating their license agreement by using the free version. http://www.copernic.com/en/products/desktop-search/corporate/convert.html [^] The Corp Ed has a lot of great features such as management through Group Policy. But, as I mentioned, we don't have any site wide search system installed. I would bet I'm the only one here with Copernic. So, why force me to upgrade for something I don't want? Copernic Home would work great for me, but I'm at work. So do I purchase a potentially bloated program or install software at my company that violates license agreements (won't happen)? I'm all for paying for software and helping out the developers but in this case I feel like they added components I don't need and are charging me for it. Yet their "free" version isn't allowed to me. Copernic, please let me use your Home version at my work! Please Please Pretty Please! :(
