I recommend buying a beginners book on C# and winforms to help you through hurdles at this level. You just have textboxes for the user name and password, use code to check if they are correct, and then either ask again or continue, depending on if they enter the right value or not.

I really wonder why I bother helping people when they respond by giving me a 1 and deleting their post. The question was basically asking how to check if two strings were equal and do an if statement. You tell me if I deserve a one for saying this person needs a book.

LOL - thing is, I answered her only other question ever and told her then she needed a book. I mean it when I say it, it wasn't meant to be an insult.

CG, I appreciate the good work you're doing here. There will, sadly, always be numbskulls who hit out at people trying to help them. If it makes you feel any better, I went through the same phase for months a year or two back - EVERY answer I gave was voted a single 1.

              Cheers, Vikram.

Yeah, I get it all the time, I posted in the lounge about a good book I am reading, and got a 1. I don't really care too much, but I am frustrated mostly that I try to help people and they refuse to be helped.
