When I try to call CopyFile API on Vista machine where destination is C drive (OS drive), I get "Access denied" error. Can anyone suggest how to resolve that.

    Thanks, Mushq

The app must be run with elevated (administrator) privileges as you are trying to write something into the Windows directory.

You got to learn a lot of stuff about new security features on Vista. A role of thumb: for changing NOT User settings you need admin rights. It is annoying but really improves security. a primer: http://www.codeproject.com/KB/vista-security/VistaElevator.aspx[^] a fine article for IE issues: http://www.codeproject.com/KB/vista-security/PMSurvivalGuide.aspx[^]
