Hi everybody, Im having some issues with menu bars in Vista - by default they are hidden in IE, Win Explorer etc (which is annoying enough on its own) and until now I've been able to use alt to make them appear. This has now stopped working - any ideas? Notes: Tried resetting IE7 settings from the Internet options (before I realised that it was other apps as well) Tried googling for an answer and all I seem to get is "use alt" which is not helpful Alt still correctly highlights the menu bar in other apps like VS2005 Problem occurred before installing any Windows updates - then tried installing them, but no help at all. If anybody has a solution to this I'd appreciate it! Thanks, Chris

What happens when you select Tools > Menu Bar? Do you see the menu then?

Strange, cannot seem to replicate the issue :suss:

No, I tried this already (several times) but no luck - nothing happens (well, the drop down menu disappears, but nothing else). Thanks, Chris

Try Opera if you haven't already.. I think it's the best browser around (certainly runs and renders pages the fastest on my PC), and if you do a lot of web development work it's got a fantastic Developer Tools panel :) The only downside is if you like/use FF extensions, it obviously doesn't have those :( Regards, --Perspx

Careful: Opera Dragonfly can cause a big crash which task manager can't even kill in my experiences with one computer.

Chuck Norris has the greatest Poker-Face of all time. He won the 1983 World Series of Poker, despite holding only a Joker, a Get out of Jail Free Monopoloy card, a 2 of clubs, 7 of spades and a green #4 card from the game UNO.

In the movie "The Matrix", Chuck Norris is the Matrix. If you pay close attention in the green "falling code" scenes, you can make out the faint texture of his beard.

Chuck Norris actually owns IBM. It was an extremely hostile takeover.

As it's an alpha version, aren't bugs like that to be expected? Regards, --Perspx

Which ships with an RTM version? What, every Opera user, including the computer illiterate have to test a web developer tool?

Well they don't have to test it.. It's just not fully bug-free yet.. And most web developers are fairly computer literate, I imagine. Regards, --Perspx
