small question

Hi My aim is to make a Ip2 location kind of application I am struck at the start I am able to get the IP address of the local machine .. what i want to get is the Ip address of the server i have used DNS to get the ip address .. but every time it is showing the local ip address (127.0.0.3) , I need to get the main ip address ( static ip) like 220.224.XXX.XX I am searching it on net as i do not have much knowledge regarding this .. still please provide some information Thanks and regards

Correct me if i am wrong ... But ur question looks something like getting IPAddress of the following IPAddress. I mean if you specify the word server, you do need an IP address to make contact with it. Probably the DNS technique u r using is just querying ur local machine and returning the same.
