Are you telling me you don't use imperial units at all?

How many gas liters litres does your car need to drive 100km? Or for the US crowd, what mpg do you get from your car?

19-20 MPG around town and my daily commute ($)@(#$*@# hills) 25-28 when leadfooting down the interstate.

100km? I'd say a pizza, two apples. Amount of gas depends on toppings, Engine should be rinsed with a beer or two afterwards. (yeah, you guessed it, just a bicycle)

Why would I? :wtf: I have to deal with IU when I deal with US customers, but I don't use them, thanks God - IU are a PITA.

I get about 400-450km from 60-65 liters ~ 14.5l/100km, 3.2liter V6 (short hops, I drive like there will be no gas tomorrow).

Why are you asking this here? The Lounge would be acceptable IMO. Unless the gas price has become some religious agenda!

I drive a Dodge Dakota 6 cylinder 2 wheel drive. It gets 22-25 mpg.

You're right. These facts that you've laid out totally contradict the wild ramblings that I pulled off the back of cornflakes packets.

Is that somehow related to the volume of a stone of water at an arbitrary temperature?
Let's think the unthinkable, let's do the undoable, let's prepare to grapple with the ineffable itself, and see if we may not eff it after all.
Douglas Adams, "Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency"It's 5/7ths of a stone at 62 F. It's a slightly redefined old ale gallon, while the US fluid gallon is the old wine gallon.

I can eke out near enough 550 miles from a 45 litre tank.(assuming I put 50 litres in)(which can be done if you 'spout' it.) And I didn't have to ruin the environment by buying a prius.

5'd for that alone, all those Pious batteries will be choking the environment all too soon.

Very few bother to find the actual mileage of their cars in this country. A full tank of 80 litres keeps me going for at least a week, sometimes more. How much does petrol cost in your respective countries? Where I live currently (UAE) it's around US $ 2.79 a gallon. I am sure is at least 80 cents more than the average price in the US. Gasoline costs more in most oil producing countries than in the US. The only difference is the propensity to grumble ;)
$1.67 per imperial gallon in Missouri (or 25p/L fukc)

I don't do much highway (Motorway fukc) driving as I only live 6 miles from work. Presently I only get 24.3 mpg (29.1 mpg fukc). So I'd need 9.7L. But I only need to fill up every fortnight (two weeks fnukc). When I used to commute mostly on the highway, I'd get about 30mpg (36mpg fukc).

About 50-ish MPG? It's about that, 'cause I just worked out my average (around town and stuff) to about 10.5l/100km (27mpg), which is about as good as a 2.0l turbo petrol engine is going to get! Especially with the weight of my right foot...

As I have said in the past, my pick-em up truck has a huge mpg, since it burns emulsified clubbed baby seals. It also has a low CO2 foot print.
