(seriously) You have to remember that if I remember correctly (and I've been proven wrong numerous times), hitting someone with a shoe is quite severe in the muslim world; and if I also remember correctly, iraqis hit the downed statue of Sadam with their shoe (less seriously) Well, now, all POTUS press conferences will be shoe-less; stinky, but safe. Soon, we will be in a society where shoes are considered more dangerous than guns.

If only the guy had accounted for the obvious aerodynamic differences between his dress shoes and the sandals he'd been practicing with.

Two shoes actually, but maybe not so bad afterall.

      From the article:

The president shrugged and said “I’m OK” after the incident in Baghdad today. “All I can report is it is a size 10,” Bush said afterwards.

Someone heard him saying after that, "that's my size as he walked off with them". :-D

He was wearing a shoe made of straw and dried mud, and I'm sure he couldn't afford to trade more salt from his body sweat for labor to make the shoes for any kind of practicing. He just prayed to the delusion in his head that he would be successful.

Waoh! So after 5 years of US invasion, an Iraqi reporter is still unable to find or pay for a pair of decent shoes?

At least the reporter has the freedom to throw shoes without getting shot.

Wow - someone threw a shoe at George Bush. What a terrible day for him. I do notice that you don't post here much anymore, except to defend/make excuses for terrorists from your country. I guess this at least means that you know that your attempts to attack Christianity were futile and pathetic, being based entirely on ignorance. What's disappointing is that your whole life seems to be based on ignorance. I find that very depressing, if Islam is full of people as stupid and willfully ignorant as you, then there will be a war. Of course, I see plenty of examples of Muslims who are nothing like you, but none are in Pakistan, so I have to consider the possibility that Pakistan is full of willfully ignorant people, and nukes. That can only be bad for human beings everywhere.

On the other hand, he was still alive after throwing the shoes. The odds of that happening had he thrown shoes at any foreign dignitary standing beside Saddam Hussein would have been between zero and none.

Of course not, but with Sadam there was no waiting, and many time, no jails - just mass graves.
