Jews are doing what they read in Bible,"Kill the non believers and get the Holy Land" but since they are not Muslims and follow Bible rather than Koran hence they are not Militants and they are defending "their" land. How long can they do. They have to surrender one day. Their old rabbis also know it well! What all Israel has been doing is example of frustration and overcoming the weakness. Israel warned the residents of Gaza that they were coming in. They warned them they were going to be bombed. They told them they were going after the rocket-launching sites and Hamas leaders, and that if there were civilians in the area, they would be injured or killed. How stupid does a person have to be to hang around and see if Israel was "just kidding"? Sure, it's sad that civilians are being caught up in this, but Hamas is certainly more culpable than Israel.
