Cyclists are fine, as long as they stay OFF THE ROAD. I hate coming up on a cyclist riding in the road during rush hour, going maybe 5 MPH, weaving in and out of the right-hand lane. Ride on the sidewalk, idiots! It's safer for us all. And then, as a cyclist, what I hate is idiots who walk on the beach bike paths. Hello?! How dare anyone try to walk on a sidewalk! Don't they know that they're meant for mobile people! Fortunately I have a fanny pack that dispenses thumb tacks wherever I walk. I'm rarely bothered by cyclists - it seems that I'm bad luck to follow... I can't imagine where that rumor came from. This Signature is Temporarily Out of Order

Surely not Colin? Over here, cycling is forbidden on the pavement. It's just too dangerous. Where there are no cycle paths, I have no choice but to use the road. In fact, I have to use the road 80% of the time. By law, I have just as much right to be there as any car, and I obey the same rules as cars. I obey the highway code correctly and ride safely. I think your problem is cyclists who think they own the road and drive where ever the hell they like, and I have a problem with them too. It's people like that who give save riders like me a bad name. I also have a problem with cars who give cyclists no respect and choose to beep whilst waiting behind me at a junction. I nearly got into a fight with one such idiot earlier today who shook his fist at me. Had he got out of the car, his ride home would have been in a slightly bigger vehicle.
