Hello, (disclaimer: Don't worry, I'm sure a team of lawyers is yucking it up right now pouring over the license but I gotta ask anyway - so, please, no blanket, "Get a lawyer" replies. I'm sure they will. k, thanks.) :P I've found a nice little logging application here on Code Project that is bound by the Code Project Open License 1.02. (CP link:http://www.codeproject.com/KB/cpp/loggerservice.aspx[^] ) I have an existing application that I'd like to retrofit with that Logger. I'd like to know if using the logging mechanism forces me to release my entire application under the Code Project Open License? That is, my company has their own IP that they want to remain closed source. Does combining the closed source application with the open license force me to bind *all* source code to the Code Project Open License (whereas my company would have to release all said closed-source source code under the CPOL)?

I think not, but repost this in suggestions and bug reports to get official attention from the admins.

Today's lesson is brought to you by the word "niggardly". Remember kids, don't attribute to racism what can be explained by Scandinavian language roots. -- Robert Royall
