I think I have been misread. I did not ask for censorship, just to move the thread to the soapbox where it belongs. There is nothing so big there, and given I have been generously 1 voted, I do not feel I am the one overreacting there. This thread is not KSS, and I think some members also apply the OS or CS rule (office safe or cubicle safe). Since when using the soapbox is considered censorship? :doh: How about those members who systematically get 1 voted, or even more, automatically removed. Now, that is censorship. No I do not. I was just stressing the fact my request to move a thread to the soapbox was rather inocuous, and was no censorship at all. And my point was it was less important than deleting someone's message(s), so thank you for feeding my mill, as you are saying even this is no censorship.

It isn't. That's kinda my point, regardless of how the subjects feel about themselves afterward - it is entirely superfluous, like getting a face lift or dying your hair. If an adult wants to put themselves through that out of hope for some nebulous sense of self, then whatever; adults do all sorts of bizarre things to themselves trying to find happiness... a few even claim to have actually managed it. But to subject or encourage an adolescent in your care to such an operation... that seems cruel, bordering on malicious. I caught an interview a few weeks back with some guy whose step-mom had him lobotomized when he was 12. Chilling stuff. He doesn't blame her, sounded almost to have blamed himself for being such an unruly child as to have left her with little choice. We have, i believe, an almost limitless ability to justify and encourage the brutal aspects of our nature, shrouding our true motivations in the noblest of words. It is only after time fades these words into quaint anachronisms that we recognize our predecessors' bestial acts for what they were.
