... but it's worth remember: the Vatican, once again, recognizes the importance and validity of one of the greatest ideas the human mind ever had: evolution[^]. You may have lots of problems with Catholicism (I certainly have). But you have to admit that they have learned (the hard way, viz Copernicus, Galileo and Vesalius) that science deserves respect. Most evangelicals don't have this same respect. BTW, tomorrow (12/Feb) will be the 200th anniversary of birth of Charles Darwin.

Of all forms of sexual aberration, the most unnatural is abstinence.

Interesting. But where's the artical for "Newton must Die", or "Faraday must Die"?

But he's still the grandfather of gravity. Newtonian physics is still alive and well (at 'normal' velocities ;P ).

But who uses just impulse engines any longer?

:sigh: How many evangelical christians do you know, personally, that you feel confident in painting with such a wide brush? Are you too familiar with the hierarchy of the Catholic church to recognize a religion not bound by the whims of one man? Or do you view the mere existence of dissent fundamentally unhealthy and worthy of ridicule?

Around 50, mostly Pentecostal Adventists. Nice people but not too bright.

It is not only the Catholic church that shows respect for evidences. At least the Anglican and Lutheran also do it.

No, It's not the dissent per se; I actually like intelligent dissent. It's the obtuse dissent.
