looks like there's some common sense out there.

Mike - typical white guy. The USA does have universal healthcare, but you have to pay for it. D'oh. Thomas Mann - "Tolerance becomes a crime when applied to evil." The NYT - my leftist brochure. Calling an illegal alien an “undocumented immigrant” is like calling a drug dealer an “unlicensed pharmacist”. God doesn't believe in atheists, therefore they don't exist.

Don't be. There is an increasing divide in the Middle east between moderates and extremist. Extremism is winning (look at israeli election results/ Paslestinian Hamas win last year(s)), I wouldnt be suprised if that person gets assisinated or something.

Thanks for posting that, I'm surprised as well. You can never tell what the true motivation for this book is...

I'm skeptical of his message though, if it is really him that is. The disintegration part at the end of the article though, gives me pause to wonder what comes next. What's part N of the series of terrorist organizations?

But what good is it if you destroy one of your enemy's buildings, and he destroys one of your countries? What good is it if you kill one of his people, and he kills a thousand of yours?" Thank you, W.

Chaining ourselves to the moral high ground does not make us good guys. Aside from making us easy targets, it merely makes us idiotic prisoners of our own self loathing.

I bet a lot of people who either hate or despise your country are thanking him as well. They hoped he would finish what he started and turn your country into a proper banana republic. Then they prayed McCain would get elected, succumb to old age, and leave Palin in charge. Now they pray that Obama doesn't succeed at what he is trying to do. This is a perfect example of how people can wish for the same things despite differences in nationality, religion, culture etc. See, these wishes are exactly identical to yours ;P

you missed the point by a mile. who said you should care ? i was pointing out to stan that his thoughts are in synch with those who are "anti american". if such a thing as "anti-american" exists. now, about the existence of this creed called "anti american" i am not so sure. i hear about this "anti american" thing in forums like this, frequented by americans, where they passionately claim "there are people out there who hate us". my experience is that most people don't give a sh*t about anything beyond regional issues. they neither love nor hate nor care about a bunch of silly feckers who live in a country on the other side of the world.

you missed the point by a mile. who said you should care ? i was pointing out to stan that his thoughts are in synch with those who are "anti american". if such a thing as "anti-american" exists. now, about the existence of this creed called "anti american" i am not so sure. i hear about this "anti american" thing in forums like this, frequented by americans, where they passionately claim "there are people out there who hate us". my experience is that most people don't give a sh*t about anything beyond regional issues. they neither love nor hate nor care about a bunch of silly feckers who live in a country on the other side of the world.

Bush was our problem. We took care of it without assassinations, without riots, without mass starvation, and without the need for folks who have plenty of home-grown problems to worry about preaching to us about what we need to do. And I got six votes, not all of them fives, it looks like. ;)

That was Otto von Drunkencoder's point I think - that the people who make anti-US sentiments do so without feeling. They don't care what Americans think about it at all.
