you missed the point by a mile. who said you should care ? i was pointing out to stan that his thoughts are in synch with those who are "anti american". if such a thing as "anti-american" exists. now, about the existence of this creed called "anti american" i am not so sure. i hear about this "anti american" thing in forums like this, frequented by americans, where they passionately claim "there are people out there who hate us". my experience is that most people don't give a sh*t about anything beyond regional issues. they neither love nor hate nor care about a bunch of silly feckers who live in a country on the other side of the world.

Except in Kerala where there was a Hartal to protest the killing of Saddam Hussein, and I think another to protest Bush's visit.

Bush was our problem. We took care of it without assassinations, without riots, without mass starvation, and without the need for folks who have plenty of home-grown problems to worry about preaching to us about what we need to do. And I got six votes, not all of them fives, it looks like. ;)

That was Otto von Drunkencoder's point I think - that the people who make anti-US sentiments do so without feeling. They don't care what Americans think about it at all.

Will you be posting happy faces about the Mumbai attack any time soon?

Right. I forgot. It's okay to laugh about American deaths, but not Indian ones. How silly of me. And here I expected you to tell me a side-splitter about the assasination of Ghandi. But you have very definitely put me in my place. With a screenname like "Drunkencoder," you must be taken very seriously when it comes to parsing out what is childish and what is not.

if it's the smiley you are complaining about, i have withdrawn it. the smiley wasn't about kennedy's death it was about your statement "we don't do assassinations", which turned out to be so much hot air".
