Folks irked by Obama coins that are simply stickers placed on 50-cent pieces[^] (news broadcast video) Sheesh! I, too, wonder about Montel Williams' pride at being associated with this. Did he not know what this outfit was (I presume and hope that to be the case). Does he rent his name out to *anyone* without knowing how they intend to use it? Is that a wise thing to do?

Link is broken, but, you have 50 cent pieces in the US ? I've not seen one, and I've had my share of useless US coinage. I've seen one dollar coin in 13 visits.

Amazing, good link. A true testament to how a recession starts; spend 120$ on 1.25$.

They're not in general circulation but yes. Basically just sold to collectors at this point. Dollar coins would be in the same position except for postal vending machines issuing them as change.

Today's lesson is brought to you by the word "niggardly". Remember kids, don't attribute to racism what can be explained by Scandinavian language roots. -- Robert Royall
